made the
adjustment, press

adjacent
to the CLEAR
key
to erase the
menu.
RANGE
-
Automatic
When turned On for the first
time,
the UltraNav
automatically places
the
bottom
signal
in the tower half of
the screen. This is called Auto
Ranging
and is
part
of the
automatic function. The
range
cannot be
changed manually
while the unit is in automatic.
RANGE
-
Manual

The UltraNav
gives you
control over the
range
when it's in the manual
mode. Both the lower and
the
upper
limit are
adjustable.
To
change
the
range,
first make certain the UltraNav is in the manual
mode. If
necessary, press
the AUTO
key
to switch to the manual
mode.
Next,
press
the
RANGE
key.
Two arrows
appear
in the lower
left
corper
of
the
display.
These are the
range adjust
arrows: Press
the
key
corresponding
to the
upper
or lower arrow to decrease or
increase the
range.
The available
ranges
are
0-10, 20, 40, 60, 100,
150,200,300, 500,
900 feet. After the desired
range
is
displayed,
press
the
CLEAR
key
to erase the
range
arrows.
NOTE:
The
depth capability
of the UltraNav
dej.ends
on the
transducer
installation,
water and bottom
conditions,
and other factors.
You can
expect
to read
depths
in excess of 350 feet in both fresh
and
salt water.
